He is the son of actor/musician Don Francks and dancer Lili Francks, a associate of the Plains Cree First Nation. He is as well the brother of Cree Summer. For a brief time, he was an on-air personality at MuchMusic, a Canadian music video and selection television channel. He starred in Stargate Atlantis Season 1 as US Marine Lieutenant Aiden Ford.
